Terms of Service
Last updated · 2026-05-16
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Alumnite (the "Service"), operated by Alumnite Ltd. ("Alumnite", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & verified circles
Alumnite is a closed, verified-membership platform organized into per-organization circles (alumni groups, military units, companies, etc.). Access to a circle requires approval by an administrator of that organization. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any organization-affiliation information you provide.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@alumnite.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization;
- post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, fraudulent, or sexually explicit;
- post, share, or solicit content that sexualizes minors, or use the Service to engage in child sexual abuse or exploitation — see our Child Safety Standards;
- share another member's information outside the Service without their consent;
- use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages or scrape member data;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, organizations, or our systems;
- interfere with the integrity, security, or performance of the Service.
Each organization may set additional rules; violating those rules may result in removal from that organization independent of these Terms.
4. Content you submit
You retain ownership of the content you post (posts, comments, articles, profile details, images, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Alumnite a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting), and display that content solely as needed to operate the Service for you and the members of organizations you belong to. Administrators of an organization may moderate, edit, or remove content posted within that organization.
5. Our content & trademarks
Alumnite, the Alumnite logo, and the Service's design system are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our written permission. Per-organization branding (logos, colors, names) belongs to the respective organization.
6. Memberships, passes & verification
Wallet passes (Apple Wallet, Google Wallet) and member QR codes identify you as a verified member of an organization. You must not share, sell, or transfer your pass to another person. Membership verification is a tool for organization administrators; it does not grant you legal rights against the organization itself.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, with or without notice, for material breach of these Terms, fraud, or to comply with law. Organization administrators may remove you from their circle at any time; that removal does not delete your Alumnite account.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory — to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that messages will be delivered in any particular timeframe.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alumnite is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) USD 100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Alumnite harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service changes materially. We will post the updated version and, where the changes are significant, request your re-acceptance on next sign-in. Continued use after a material update constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, unless local consumer protection laws give you the right to bring suit in your home jurisdiction.
